Penny Pie Park

Despite overwhelming public objections Barnsley Labour are STILL pressing ahead with their plans to turn Penny Pie Park on Dodworth Rd into a huge 3 lane roundabout.
The application is going to the Council's own planning board on Tuesday 18th December, with a recommendation for approval. This is despite extensive concerns about detrimental effects on air quality, noise pollution, road safety, active travel, felling of healthy trees and destruction of a well loved and used public green space and NO guarantee that the development will reduce congestion or cut journey times.
It isn't too late, Please, wherever you live in the borough sign our petition here to show that you support Barnsley & Penistone Liberal Democrats' campaign to save Penny Pie Park.
You can also contact all your local councillors, especially if they sit on planning board and ask them to vote against these plans.
Contact your MP and tell them that you oppose the development and ask for their support.
Come along to the park on Tuesday morning at 10.30am  - bring your kids, your dogs and let's show everyone how this space should be used.
